Yorkshire Dales, UK
12-15 April 2026

Step into spring with a deeply restorative reading retreat in the Yorkshire countryside — a weekend of wild meadows, river rambles, and unhurried hours with a book in your lap and birdsong in the air.

Set within a cluster of beautifully converted stone properties surrounded by 13 acres of private land, this retreat offers a rare mix of heritage charm and high-end comfort. Think thick stone walls, crackling fires, and garden views from every window — alongside luxe modern finishes and peaceful shared spaces designed for stillness.

This is a space made for book lovers — and for those who long to do less. You’ll have access to lush gardens, a private stretch of riverbank, a wildflower meadow, and foraging trails. Whether you're curled up on a sun-drenched window seat or strolling woodland paths, it’s all yours to explore.

We invite you to bring an ode to books from the area — Yorkshire's literary history is rich and evocative, from the Brontë sisters and Ted Hughes to Alan Bennett and more. Whether it’s fiction, poetry or memoir, let the landscape speak through the stories you read.

This retreat has no fixed agenda — only gentle offerings if you want them. Perhaps a fireside conversation about your latest read, a creative journaling session, or a group wander by the riverbanks. Meals are nourishing and leisurely, served communally with the option to retreat to solitude whenever you like.

Come as you are. Leave rested, reconnected, and with a few new pages turned.
